The Athena SWAN Charter recognises and celebrates good employment practice for women working in science, engineering and technology (SET) in higher education and research.  Any university or research institution which is committed to the advancement of the careers of women in SET in higher education and research can apply for membership.

Following the awards 2010 we have decided to make some changes to the awards process. More guidance will follow on this, but here are some key changes to note. As a result of these changes we would also like to congratulate five more award winners this year.

The panels are meeting over the last couple of weeks in June and first weeks of July. We are aiming to send results and feedback to all submission contacts in late July/early August.
